The You are Beautiful piece on 2nd and Spring Garden has been up for a few days now, and YAB is already recieving some really great feedback. They recieved this email yesterday:
I had to contact you. I have been a huge follower of your project.
Even though I have thought of becoming involved many times by getting
some stickers, for some reason it has always been put on the back
burner. Low and behold, today I was able to visually witness for the
first time a piece of your work. I live in Philadelphia, a city loves
it art. Coming back from a craft fair in Northern Liberties, my
boyfriend and I rounded the corner of 2nd and Spring Garden. There I
saw it, along 2nd street, You Are Beautiful in huge white letters. I
was amazed. I started screaming at my boyfriend, pointing and telling
him “They came, they came, they hit Philadelphia!” I think it was one
of the most plesant surprizes I have had in awhile. Its not like going
to a Gallery to see an artist, pre-meditated and walking around a
dressed up space. Instead it comes at the most unexpected time and it
makes if so much more enjoyable because it is honest and real. I just
had to email you and let you know of my thanks and my appreciation for
this movement you have started. It could not have come at a more
perfect time in my life, to see that art and I think thats what is so
amazing about it. Each viewer of the piece takes it for what it is
worth and applies to their life how it may so fit. It fit my perfect,
it made me realize so much. And no piece in a gallery has made me feel
that. So thank you. Thank you for making a part of Philadelphia. And
thank you for letting me see it in person. And maybe soon I will
actually remember to mail you that envelope with my address, so I can
contribute some way. I am biking down to take pictures and I will be
sure to send you copies. Thank you again, so much. You really made my
day.
Much Regards,
Hilary
